During this maintenance window, we'll temporarily point the DNS for our POS integration APIs to the new IP addresses we have allocated at our upcoming new hosting facility, in order to test which POS locations are able to connect and which are not. The data gathered during this exercise will help us determine which stores possibly have DNS caching issues (i.e. those still pointing to the old IP addresses even after the TTL has expired) and those which have not yet whitelisted the new environment (i.e. those that cannot connect to either the old or new environment during the exercise.) While the primary environment is down for maintenance, we'll use the opportunity to archive some historic data.
